State Street Bank

State Street Bank
A financial services industry leader, State Street Bank was connecting its branches using a 22Gb Ethernet WAN, but only 20% of the WAN was being utilized.
The Situation:

Improve the performance of critical business applications and utilization of resources in a network infrastructure where only 20% of the wide area network (WAN) was being utilized.

The Solution:

Deploying Sonus VellOS allowed State Street Bank to reconfigure its WAN links while provisioning optimal application flows and segregating traffic. The network became virtualized and application-aware, enabling State Street Bank to give priority to business-critical and latency-sensitive traffic based on business rules.  Over a span of 36 months, WAN costs dropped from more than $7 million to approximately $1.5 million.
