Sonus Harmony™ is a three-tier architecture which simplifies, for large enterprises, complex UCC and SIP communications environments and application delivery with a highly secure and robust collection of carrier grade Sonus products.
Sonus Harmony enables scalable, secure delivery of SIP communications and applications across the widest range of protocols in the industry enabling rapid delivery and building of cost effective new communications services. There are differences in SIP implementations across both SIP trunks and network elements found in enterprise networks. Sonus SBCs adapt to these variations. This SIP adaptability along with an understanding of the various enterprise PBXs provide a robust method for being able to provide interworking among the calls and communication sessions flowing through the SBC in these multivendor environements. This provides the flexibility to work within any service provider environment to easily meet evolving functionality requirements as well as to provide interworking across multi-vendor environments within the enterprise. This interworking addresses differences in protocols and media codecs as well as the various SIP implementations. Capabilities include:
- Normalizing the SIP, communication and media variants among network elements from various vendors so that nothing gets lost in translation
- Enforcing consistent policies (e.g., authentication, billing, call routing) across the whole session for a better, smarter user experience
