Consistent call feature delivery without replacing the last mile of copper
The Sonus ASX Feature Server delivers a rich set of residential and business subscriber services over any access network: VoIP, PSTN, cable, wireless, WiMAX, IMS, SIP trunk and more. The ASX server is trusted by leading carriers around the world to provide IP Centrex, hosted PBX and Class 5 services from a scalable, reliable platform. The ASX server delivers dozens of popular call features as well as more robust SIP services through third-party applications, including voicemail, unified messaging, call center support and prepaid calling cards.
Deployed in conjunction with the Sonus Access Directory Server (ADS), the ASX solution provides a subscriber services platform for millions of subscribers within an IP-based environment. By moving subscriber services to the IP core, networks can easily migrate legacy PSTN subscribers to SIP-based services for consistent call feature delivery without replacing the last mile of copper. This function is an important element of IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) migrations as outlined by the Access Gateway Control Function (AGCF), which the ASX fully satisfies.
